Head Trainer: Dave DeGrouchie
Team-X-cellence is led by Dave DeGrouchie. Having been involved in the martial arts for near 30 years, some of his accomplishments include:
- 6th Degree Black Belt, Keiko-Ryu BuJutsu
- 5th Degree Black Belt, Seite-Do Karate
- 1st Degree black Belt, Kuma-Ryu Karate
- 1st Degree Black Belt, Kaiju-Ryu Jiu Jitsu
- Former head of the World Budo Alliance, a 16 nation member association of martial arts schools.
- Author of women's self defense instructor program, used in martial arts schools and police departments in Canada, USA, England, Spain, and Portugal.
- First to establish MMA in Northern New Brunswick
- First to establish Sanshou in Atlantic Canada
I am greatful for all the knowledge and experience that has been given to me. Without the countless leaders I have followed, and continue to follow, I would know nothing. People tend to forget that their list of experiences or expertise, is a detailed list of things they could not have attained on their own. People need not get to proud too quick. And the circle continues. You pass your knowledge to others, so they can learn what you have given them, and add their own ingredients to it. The result is a student who knows something better than the teacher. If this does not happen, then the teacher is a failure. Teaching is the art of being a stepping stone to higher knowledge of others.
